Q. How long does it take to send a message?
A. SMS messages are usually delivered to the recipient’s mobile phone within a minute or so. In peak times there can be delays. NightLifeTexting.com is a new service and is growing rapidly. We are trying to keep capacity up with demand. When they occur, delays and capacity issues will be resolved immediately. Please note also that additional delays can occur once the message reaches cellular network if the recipient’s mobile phone is not switched on or in a mobile coverage area. When this happens, carriers usually retry sending messages that have been lodged for up to a week.
Q. Is there a limit on how many messages I can send?
A. No. Send as many messages as you want, to as many people as you want. However, spamming and abusive messaging is strictly disallowed with the NightLifeTexting.com service. Please read our terms & conditions for more information.
Q. Some of my contacts didn’t receive my message. Why?
A. our friend may not have text messaging enabled. This is something that is increasingly rare, but it still occurs. To enable text messaging, your friend must contact their mobile network operator.
Other reasons your friend may not receive your message: Your friend may have a pre-paid mobile account, and the balance is too low.
Some mobile network operators have their own criterion, such as: Text messaging plans, allowing a certain number of incoming/outgoing messages - so your friend may have exceeded their plan allotment. Not saving or only queuing a small number of incoming messages, so if one of the following has occurred, your friend may not receive the message: The mobile device is "out-of-range," memory capacity has been exceeded, or Subscriber 'busy' for short messaging.
The mobile number you entered may be incorrect. Make sure you enter the entire mobile phone number (see instructions). Do NOT enter symbols like "-" , "+" or “()” . If there is a leading zero (0) in the mobile number, remove it.
Finally, we may not be able to send SMS to your friend's mobile network operator. To view a list of the mobile network operators that NightLifeTexting.com supports click here.
Q. Do I pay for messages which weren’t received?
A. Yes. We charge for messages as long as our system is able to send them. Unfortunately there are many factors which are out of our reach and can affect the deliverability of the text messages. Even if the message was not received, we still incur a cost and are using the resources of our SMS gateway.
Q. Which operators/mobile networks does NightLifeTexting.com work with?
A. NightLifeTexting.com has relationships with 12 major operators/mobile networks in US and Canada and we are constantly adding more. To view the list of operators/mobile networks NightLifeTexting.com works with please see our coverage page.
Q. Will I or my contacts receive advertising messages?
A. No. To ensure the privacy of you and your contacts we have included a “Global Opt-out” option. If anyone signs-out through that link their name and number will be included in our database as a person who does not wish to receive any messages. Our software will block all messages which anyone attempts to send to a number in our Opt-Out database, thus protecting their privacy. Please refer to our Privacy Policy.
Q. Is my privacy protected?
A. We take and shall take any precautions necessary to protect your private information including the content of your messages as well as your account information. This said, we expect you to act responsibly when using your account login and password. Limit exposure to this information to as few persons as possible and regularly changing your password. We do not store potentially valuable information such as credit card details on this system.
Q. Can you guarantee delivery of the SMS message to the recipient?
A. No. SMS by nature is a store-and-forward technology. Your message is passed from one system/server to next until it finally reaches its destination, taking into consideration that the recipients phone is switched on, connected to the mobile network and configured to receive SMS, within the prescribed delivery period set by the sender. Normally, SMS is very reliable. If this gateway reports that the SMS was successfully transferred to the mobile network, you have an excellent probability that the SMS will be delivered. If you need enhanced reliability—at an increased price—you will need to use a Short Code solution.
Q. What if the network or/and country names are not in your coverage list?
A. We are constantly searching to provide you with more networks. You can monitor the new networks here. If your network is not in the list, we will contact the network you need to send to, and try to include them in our coverage. Simply write to us with the name of the network and the country.
